Bienvenue! ¡Bienvenidos! Bem-vindo! We’ve localized! As of today, thanks to a dedicated team of 43 volunteer translators based throughout the world, we’ve launched a new beta version of the WiserEarth site in French, Portuguese and Spanish!
Increasing accessibility and impact
The WiserEarth community is currently represented in over 243 countries, territories, and sovereign islands. Now any members who speak French, Spanish or Portuguese will now be able to connect and collaborate in their own language!
In the last three years, WiserEarth has worked hard to make the site more accessible for a global audience. In the words of our founder:
I knew that if we could understand the connections and visualize the breadth of global efforts on behalf of social and environmental justice, we would recognize the largest movement the world has ever seen. WiserEarth is where this movement can begin to see itself. Paul Hawken
We are overjoyed to be taking a significant step toward this aim, and helping the global movement to see just how broad and diverse it really is! Please join us in welcoming new international members that will be signing up to WiserEarth in the coming days.
We would also like to thank and acknowledge the following volunteer translators for making this launch possible.
A big thank you to all the people on this page who have made it possible to launch WiserEarth in French, Spanish and Portuguese for the global WiserEarth community. Our sincerest gratitude for all your hard work and dedication.
Anyone we missed? If so, we would like to thank you too. We couldn’t have done it without you.
