As Cop16 (http://cc2010.mx/en/) begins in Cancun, I’ve pulled together some members of the WiserEarth community to work with the Global Campaign for Climate Action (http://gc-ca.org/) tcktcktck (http://www.tcktcktck.org) team! |
Yep, I’ll be reporting live from Cancun Messe (http://www.cancunmesse.com/) as James Greyson and Tenney Naumer participate as virtual team members. Polly Higgins is speaking on Ecocide and reporting live from Klimaforum (http://klimaforum10.org/home/attachment/wpccc). Bing Gong is filming for EON and reporting for Transition West Marin.
As an official observer inside the conference, Julio Garduño Colín, WiserEarth’s Spanish Regional Online Community Coordinator, is also participating in Klimaforum10 and spearheading WiserEarth’s social networking effort. Fabiola Benavente is representing Initiatives of Change International, and the 3-FORCE reforestation project.
Following her outstanding work on WiserCopenhagen (http://www.wiserearth.org/group/copen) and Boliva 410, (http://www.wiserearth.org/group/bolivia), Editor Narda Dalgleish will update and liaison for the WiserCop16 group. (http://www.wiserearth.org/group/cop16).
How you can participate
- WiserEarth members from around the globe are invited to share real life stories about actions on the ground — how is climate change impacting where you live and what efforts are taking place to mitigate the problems, independent of the BIG PICTURE official UNFCCC talks. - Become a part of the WiserEarth’s tcktcktck Rapid Response Team. tck team members will be tweeting news bytes and sample tweets throughout the conference. So retweet to your followers! Hash tags include #racetothefuture
