This year’s WebDiversity conference, which takes place in Paris on 21 May, is putting a spotlight on a world-changing year that has dramatically propelled the Internet, and more specifically platforms such as FaceBook and Twitter, to central stage for eluding internet censorship and spurring democratic change.
