Anula Galewska

We are excited to announce WiserEarth’s 50,000th member! Anula Galewska is Polish, currently works in tourism in Greece and is fluent in Russian. She is passionate about traveling, e-tourism and all things related to Central Eastern Europe.

On her WiserEarth profile, Anula talks about the huge untapped potential in sustainable and responsible tourism. She writes, “I believe that sustainability is an area that people in CEE region don’t know enough about. A bunch of different changes have to happen before a complete paradigm shift occurs. One of the steps is to educate the society, and another one – to bring together people already caring about sustainability.”

Anula is excited about being a member of the WiserEarth community and also helping WE ‘go local’. She is helping out as a volunteer by assisting with the translation work taking place on the Russian translators group.

I’m hoping that 50,000 will prove a lucky number for Anula as she works on achieving her vision of setting up her own  social business around e-tourism in Russia.

And, if you get the chance, do drop by to say hi to Anula. I’ve found out that in Russian ‘hi’ is pronounced ‘pri-vet’.
